It's time for you to join our family of writers. That is, if you have the desire and fortitude to pull out, dust off and finish writing that screenplay, teleplay, monologue, film short or stage play. Ship it off and if we like it you may be featured on our broadcast, have your work produced on our stage or you'll be nominated for The Riprap award.
Things are moving right along at RIPRAP ENTERTAINMENT TV (formerly Riprap Writers' Playhouse) and everyone involved will reap rewards from our association.
Now that we have bestowed the Riprap awards upon several deserving writers, it's time to develop new ways to help writers find success as well as select new winners.
Be sure to pay close attention to our web site as exciting information and opportunities (such as RIPRAP UNIVERSITY) will find their way from RIPRAP ENTERTAINMENT TV and the Coffee-zine Scene!, our E-zine, to you. Stay tuned! RIPRAP UNIVERSITY features free interactive video tutorials and workshops for writers, actors and filmmakers. You are invited to participate.
Submit today! Click here for submission guidelines. We are always asked about the culture of our theatre. It's difficult to describe because we are so new. Since our inception we have produced four stage plays at Riprap Studio Theatre in North Hollywood, 40+ television broadcasts and we are currently working on our next two stage productions selected from the submissions to our weekly half-hour broadcast. I'd like to say that we are simply looking for original, gripping material, but I know that doesn't help much eh? Well, check out our past productions and maybe that will give you some insight but we're open to all genres, including musicals. Please note we are an intimate 60-seat space but we are open to producing at a larger venue if and when the need arises, so we are unlimited in our selection of material in that respect.
