Fill out the release, sign it, mark your envelope "release enclosed," and send it in! General Release for all submissions in WORD format. |
We accept all submissions that are properly sent. This simply means that you've taken the time to read over our guidelines and/or rules and regulations and followed our instructions, enclosing the proper releases. It's that easy. You may submit in one or all categories if you are a writer. Make your selection, then follow the instructions and submit. Return to this page if you wish to submit in additional categories. Any questions not answered here are likely answered on our FAQS page. We look forward to your submissions. Our advice? Submit, submit, submit! There's a lot to be said for numbers.
WRITER SUBMISSIONS
You may submit your original stage play - BOTH FULL-LENGTH and ONE ACTS and SHORTS, screenplay, teleplay, short story, novel, novella, or musical to Riprap Entertainment TV for possible adaptation for our stage, award nomination and/or discussion on our broadcast. Should you receive a Riprap Award for your submission that is NOT a stage play, we would hope that you would then adapt it for the stage, and further submit it for possible production on OUR stage at Riprap Studio Theatre, however, THIS IS NOT REQUIRED. Why adapt it? Because award winning material that is produced as a play and receives positive reviews has a better opportunity of being picked up by a studio for film production. It happened to us, it could happen to you! We're looking for that very special work. Is it yours? Find out. Submit today. The cost of postage could change your future writing career.

8. BE CREATIVE AND HAVE FUN! You can do anything you want! Except get naked!
9. Once you're up on our web site, tell all your friends to vote for you!
10. Riprap Entertainment will select a SIREN for our broadcast and that person will recieve $100 compensation and the segment will air on KVMD TV on our weekly Friday television show as well as be archived on this web site. The AUDIENCE FAVORITE will receive a gift certificate and BOTH will become part of the chosen few. These will be our first look, or A-List actors. These actors will be considered for future bookings on our stage or television broadcast. Our audience favorites, in fact, become honorary members of Riprap Studio Theatre. It's our way of building a relationship with talented people that we hope will, one day, be on our stage.
11. ACTORS MAY SUBMIT anywhere in the UNITED STATES and WORLDWIDE! Please note, however, payment must be made electronically through paypal and wiring fees to other countries will be deducted from the $100 amount.

Submit your film for possible promotion on our televised broadcast (Releases below). Submit a five minute or less digital film. You can go out tomorrow and whip one up, or you can create a five minute short of your already produced feature film. Call it what you want - a five minute short or a trailer. Just do it and send it in. If we like it and choose it for airing, it will appear on our televised program Riprap Entertainment TV which airs every Friday at 3:30PM on KVMD TV in southern California. Here's a real chance to promote your film work.

If you are serious about your filmmaking career you will print and read this article at IndieProducer.net CLEARANCE PROCEDURES. You have to be a member, and membership is free. This is the most comprehensive and clearly written article for filmmakers that I have seen available, not on a legal website. As I said, if you're serious about your future film career you will not only print and read it, but you will read it again, and again. The only thing I would add is CSS Music and D.A.W.N Music to their suggested list for stock music, buyout downloadable music (no I don't get any money from the link, I just happen to like them, I've used their music and I've heard some of the works I've chosen on national TV). Protect yourself and your work, don't be stupid and don't be lazy. A little time up front will save you a lot in time and legal fees later. GOOD LUCK!
