Posting Guidelines for Market Opportunities

Adding a Market Opportunity to Riprap Writers' Playhouse is easy! Any member may post. Just scroll down past the sample and fill out your information and submit! Please follow these instructions carefully and submit the form below. All new postings will be approved by Riprap Entertainment before being added to the site. If accepted, your ad will appear within 24 hours of receipt on the member side of our web site.

Don't be greedy! When you find out about a great opportunity for writers, actors or filmmakers post it here. Paying and non-paying gigs are invited to post. These opportunities will include events, festivals, screenings, workshops, job openings, call for entries, wanted to buy or rent, screenplays wanted, casting and trade or barter categories.

  1. We will only list once for your company per week so do not bombard us with multiple ads.
  2. Be specific. Do not ramble. Your responses will improve.
  3. All ads must be submitted on the form below and all categories must be properly filled in.
  4. Be sure to clarify if the job is paid or non-paid and union or non-union.
  5. All listings must have a contact name and/or company name. We will not post anonymous advertisements.
  6. Listings are updated daily.

SAMPLE LISTING: AMBITIONS:
A feature length movie musical student film is currently casting for all lead and supporting roles. Non Paid. Union and Non-Union may submit. Accepting submissions/shooting - start date 07/01/2004 until 08/01/2004. No fees involved. Shooting in California. Production company is Glory Blaze Productions. Actors will receive credit and copy. Ambitions is a movie musical featuring contemporary Broadway songs. It follows the journey and dreams of a young, aspiring actress in Los Angeles who longs to perform one day on Broadway.

Breakdown:
KRISTIN BROWN (Lead): 16-18. Young aspiring actress who has to choose between love and a career. Very attractive girl, blonde hair and blue eyes a plus but not neccessary. Caucasion. Has a sense of knowing where she wants to go in life, and will stop at nothing to get there. Strong belt required, sings such songs as Without You [Rent], For Good [Wicked].

ADAM DAVIS (Lead): 16-18. Young aspiring musician and playwright. High school dropout, not too smart. Has sunken into the reality that ambitions and dreams are great, but are very unrealistic. Kristin's love interest. Very attractive. Caucasion. Strong belt required, sings such songs as Elaborate Lives [Aida], One Song Glory [Rent].

SUTTON DILMOUNT (Supporting): 17-20. Kristin's closest friend. An aspiring young actress and singer who has lost all hope and ambition. Somewhat attractive, dark hair and blue eyes a plus but not neccessary. Any ethnicity. Strong voice required, sings such songs as Only In New York [Thoroughly Modern Millie] and For Good [Wicked].

GAVIN SMITH (Supporting). 16-18. Adam's closest friend. Aspiring performer and singer. Gay, but not too flamboyant. Any ethnicity. Anthony Rapp type. Very troubled person, involved in drugs. Secretly in love with Adam. Strong voice required, sings such song as Fantasies Come True [Avenue Q] and Soliloquy [Ragtime].

IDINA BROWN (Supporting). 14-16. Little sister of Kristin Brown. Adores her older sister, but still is the voice of reason for many situations and for many people. Though the youngest, she's the wisest. Nonethless, she knows how to have fun and remains cute and bubbly. Kristin Chenoweth type. Strong voice required with very high belt. Sings such songs as My Strongest Suit [Aida] and Fine, Fine Line [Avenue Q].
