RIPRAP ENTERTAINMENT TV
Riprap Entertainment was created January 1, 1999 for the sole purpose of establishing Riprap Writers' Playhouse.
The Playhouse was originally produced and aired on cable television and consisted of professional actors performing a staged reading of new writers' works.
RIPRAP STUDIO THEATRE opened in November 2001 on Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood, California. Production of our television broadcast changed in name and direction. We broadened our scope to include actors and filmmakers. Our desire is to help artists build a solid foundation and find their way to stage and screen. Our new thrust is a valuable asset to all artists who frequent our site and take advantage of the opportunities and information available to them.
Since July 2006, RIPRAP ENTERTAINMENT TV has aired weekly on KVMD TV, Channel 23 in southern California. The independent network reaches approximately 4 million homes in southern California which is a potential of eight million viewers every Friday at 3:30PM. Segments from the broadcast are posted to our web site every week after the show airs on KVMD. Channel listings here. Creator, Sandra Nutt is an actress, writer, producer from Ohio. She received a BA in Theatre and Drama from the University of Michigan and pursued acting professionally in New York where she became a member of the famed NEGRO ENSEMBLE COMPANY and worked with Samuel L. Jackson on stage and on national tour. She moved to Los Angeles in the pursuit of acting and founded Riprap Entertainment for the purpose of establishing a safe haven for writers, actors and filmmakers. Sandra is on track to receive a JD and sit for the California Bar in February 2009.
