The Riprap Award
Excellence in Writing. Our award for excellence in writing has been expanded. The Riprap is now awarded to deserving writers, actors, directors and producers each year. This page lists the nominees and winners of the Riprap Award for 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003. The awards are our way of helping artists build a foundation for their careers in the entertainment industry. We actively encourage submissions and accept material of all genres except pornography and works promoting hatred:
- Drama
- Comedy
- Action Adventure
- Science Fiction
- Horror Story
This prestigious award is our way of acknowledging those who submit for consideration. All submissions must be include a proper release. Additionally, all short stories published in our e-zine, The Coffee-zine Scene! will automatically be considered for the Riprap Award.
It is not our intention for the Riprap to compete with any other awards bestowed upon artists. Our award program is a foundation for artists to build a solid future.
If you or your original work is nominated for the Riprap Award, the recipients will be announced the following February. The award ceremony will be held at our North Hollywood Studio Theatre.
Riprap Entertainment is proud of our winners. I invite you to read what they had to say upon receiving their awards.
